StoryBoard (new): This is the storyboard redrawn according to the tutor’s requirements; this version is much clearer and more straightforward. TimeLine: Animate : YouTube link: https://youtu.be/_rc7k5I1cpU Process : For this project, I transformed the infographic poster from Project 1 into a vector animation created using Adobe After Effects. Before production began in earnest, Zihan drew up a storyboard to plan the sequenc...

Yang Yang / 0363575 7/3/2026 - 14/3/2026  (Week 5  - Week 6) Information Design / Bacherlor of Design in Creative Media   INSTRUCTION Project 1:  Infographics poster Step 1 : First, we need to choose a video we’d like to make from the Pasta Grannies YouTube channel. I’ve chosen ‘TRADITIONAL PUGLIA BREAD’. Step 2 : A rough sketch of the poster layout. I initially created the first draft using Canva, but following Mr Kannan’s advice, I realised that the visuals on this information poster weren’t striking enough and the layout was too text-heavy.So I redrew the composition. Step 3 : First, I roughly laid out the text based on the composition I had in mind. However, I felt the bottom looked a bit empty, so I added a semi-circular gradient to the background to add more depth to the lower section. I’ve started creating some iconic icons. Once the first draft was complete, I sought advice from Mr Kannan. He felt that the visual flow of my poster was unclear a...

Yang Yang / 0363575 2/2/2026 - 2/23/2026  (Week 1 - Week 3) Information Design / Bacherlor of Design in Creative Media INSTRUCTION Exercise 1 : Quantify Data For this exercise, I first selected some craft materials and tried grouping them in three different ways. SIZE Material Colour After trying various approaches, I finally managed to put it all together. FINAL Exercise 2 :  L.A.T.C.H  In this exercise, we need to use the L.A.T.C.H. technique to create a poster; I started by making one as a classroom exercise. I then created a poster showing the distribution of Pokémon as requested. The main challenge I faced during this stage was my lack of familiarity with the different Pokémon species. To overcome this, I sought advice from a friend and consulted the official Pokédex, eventually producing this final piece. Reflection:  Through these t...

We divided up the lyrics among ourselves and began production. First, each of us sketched out a rough draft of the section we were responsible for. However, after discussing it with my team members and making adjustments during the production process, the final product didn’t turn out exactly as I had envisioned, because I realized that the animated text I had created was still a bit too monotonous. During the production process, following my instructor’s advice, I rearranged the font sizes and positions and adjusted some animations that were moving too quickly, making it difficult for the audience to clearly see the content. I encountered many challe...

Digital Matte Painting Task 3

Yang Yang / 0363575 2025/12/12 - 1/2 Week 11 - Week 14 Digital Matte Painting  / Bacherlor of Design in Creative Media Google Drive 2.5D: Building on the photo bashing from the previous task, I first separated the composition into multiple layers in Photoshop and imported them into Blender to arrange the scene spatially. However, I realised that simply separating the image into layers still resulted in a composition that felt visually flat and lacking depth. With guidance from Mr Kannan, I learned how to more effectively use tools such as the Knife tool in Blender to further divide individual layers. By adjusting the orientation and positioning of these segmented parts, I was able to create more subtle depth variations. This approach significantly improved the sense of spatial layering and helped me better understand the transition from 2D imagery to a more three-dimensional scene. ...
