When I first attempted photo bashing, I merely cut and distorted images to fill my composition, making little beyond basic lighting adjustments. I even altered the shape of the house in the concept art because I couldn't find a suitable cottage.


Following Mr Kannan's guidance and suggestions, I adjusted the lighting and shadows in the image and refined the building's form to more closely match my original vision. I also enhanced the consistency and logical coherence of the texture mapping.


Yet this alone proved insufficient. Through the gentleman's guidance, I realised I had consistently misplaced the relative importance of texture mapping and painting within photo bashing. Consequently, under Mr Kannan's direction, I rendered the scene's contrast relationships and blocky forms with greater clarity, while adding subtle colour accents to imbue the image with enhanced coherence and narrative depth.

I started by refining the forms and expressions of the characters even more from the original, carving out the original rough outlines in more detail. At this stage I redrew some details on top of the original line drawing, I changed the expression of the snake wrapped around the protagonist's hand to be more ferocious, and made the protagonist's facial expression more grim, so as to emphasise the impact of the picture.
