Task: Poster

Final:

Process:

I learnt how to use interlacing and how to make fonts in 3d and other techniques from class.

To create a furry font, first select a font and create an outline then simply edit the text path and release the blend path. Draw two gradient circles and blend them, adjust the roughness to a level that feels more like a furry effect, then find the Blend option in Objects and select both the text path and the two circles to make a blended furry effect and use Reverse spine.

I also tried to make a 3D rendering that was soft like a balloon, but ultimately decided on furry.

Use the {Type on a path Tool} tool to make the text follow the arcs

Reflection:
While working on this assignment, I significantly improved my proficiency in using Adobe Illustrator, particularly in the area of creating and customizing text. The process began with selecting a font design that aligned well with the theme and content of the poster. From there, I worked on refining and optimizing the font to enhance its visual impact. To achieve the best results, I conducted thorough research, sought guidance from my tutor, and watched numerous tutorial videos. After experimenting with several font styles and iterations, I ultimately decided on a "furry" font, as it harmonized perfectly with the content and overall aesthetic of the poster.

This experience of designing the font layout for the poster has been incredibly rewarding. Not only did I gain foundational knowledge about font arrangement and placement, but I also developed a deeper understanding of Illustrator’s creative potential and versatility. I learned how thoughtful text design can amplify the message and visual appeal of a project, and how tools within Illustrator can be leveraged to achieve unique and polished results. This process has expanded my skills, boosted my confidence in design, and inspired me to continue exploring the possibilities within Illustrator for future projects.
