Lecture:  Double Exposure

This class instructor gave us an explanation of the way double exposure and picture blending modes are used in photoshop and the visual effects they can achieve, it was a very interesting class and a very important technique in the future of photoshop editing.

The use of this technique can achieve a lot of manpower can not be done but can make up for the visual effects with post-production, but also I personally very much like a way, more can be used in the collage picture, the most common point of view is that we usually see to the picture of the production of special effects.

In the actual production of many tools and layers can be used to replace, the producer can try one by one after choosing the most appropriate one, so that you can be familiar with the difference between the layers and tools, but also the flexible use of technology, rather than rigid sets of formulas.

Lecture: Poster Design :

The use of monochrome colours in a poster can make the image more uniform and can also highlight the mood that the colour is intended to represent. Monochrome is often less likely to clash, and in most cases avoids the clutter and disorder that can be caused by too many colours. It is a relatively basic and less likely to go wrong with the colour scheme.

The use of Analogous in posters is also a safe match, creating a sense of unity and harmony with close colours, but adding more richness and layers to the image than monochrome matches, and expressing a fuller mood.

Complementary colours are a way to create a more impactful colour palette, and if you can master the art of matching, you can make rich and vivid images. But relatively, complementary colours with the composition is not good to master, because the conflict of colours and the gap is very easy to make a mistake. It may cause the picture too cluttered or too rich elements lead to the viewer does not know the focus of the picture.
Colour psychology is a very interesting topic, and this technique can be used for many things, such as when it comes to interior architecture, where the colour scheme of the furniture and the colour scheme of the walls can create different atmospheres for the occupants. Or it is often used in posters and artwork, where different colours are not only visually appealing, but can also have different emotional values.

I really like green because the colour tends to represent vibrancy and a sense of nature, and green can be soothing to be in nature. The colour green tends to represent the vibrant look of plants such as trees and grass, and therefore can also represent health. In many posters that promote environmental protection or healthy eating, there are a lot of green elements. Studies have also shown that the colour green can help to restore vision, relieve tension and aid in the treatment of certain illnesses.

Tutorial & Practical :

Process:

First of all, the characters need to retain the place to key out, after the establishment of a mask to delete the excess part, adjust the curves of the screen to make the characters of the photo looks more harmonious and clean.

Insert the material after the use of editing mask to confirm that the picture does not go beyond the area of the characters, change the blending mode of the layer to choose overlay or darken, choose a blending mode that blends well with the picture after. Adjust the Grandient map and then carefully adjust the effect to achieve a visually pleasing result. After the production is completed, you can also repeatedly adjust the curves or colour balance of the picture to make the visual effect of the picture more harmonious.

Reflection :

In the production process of this practical work, I use photoshop to create a lot of ‘secondary production’ part, double exposure composition I have always liked, but once I thought it was just a simple layer superimposition and adjust the blend mode, after this actual operation I think things are not as I thought! To achieve a natural effect and a simple and convenient process, the way I used to do it would not work, but it is obvious that after learning a new way, my production time has been significantly reduced, and this quick way of production has improved my efficiency. At the same time, I also learnt how to use the same functions as procreate's gradient mapping in Photoshop, which will help me a lot in my future work with images and posters.
