Lecture: Introduction to Photoshop 3 Adjustment Layer & Filters
Adjustment layers are a great, non-destructive image editing tool, these layers add colour and tonal adjustments to an image without permanently changing its pixels. They are used more frequently when adjusting landscape images, the simplest example being to make an overcast sky blue, a dark lake turquoise, and so on.
With separate adjustment layers, it is also possible to edit and discard your adjustments or restore the original image whenever you are not satisfied. This makes the work less rigid and saves some of the time spent on revisions, making the production process more flexible.
The teacher explained some basic applications and functions of adjustment layers, such as adjusting contrast and so on, which was not difficult to understand for me who had experience in retouching, and made me eager to try.
Filter is greatly different from the value of the adjustment out, they are mostly a set of values that have been adjusted by others, directly applied to the edited picture, usually a picture of an overall tone as a benchmark, in the absence of ideas for colour mixing, filter is also a very good and convenient function.

DESCRIPTION:
When using the colour and curves filter layers to adjust this image, I adjusted the colours of the goldfish and the train station to contrasting colours, which adds tension to the image and a sense of grotesqueness like that of a reverse-colour photograph, and a small amount of adjustment to the brightness of the image to make the brightly coloured image less harsh.
