Lecture: Introduction To Photoshop 2

The lasso tool is often used in editing images, and I use it a lot in my drawing, so I'm not a stranger to this feature. It's often used to create selections, where the area that is singled out can be used independently of the whole image, so that modifications made to it won't affect the surrounding area too much, and it's very effective for cha
nging the colour of a single object.

Layers are a very important function in electronic editing, whether it is drawing or using some software to create electronic works, layers can facilitate us to operate more finely, but also gives us a chance to ‘regret’, copying the layer can give you enough backing, even if the changes are not to the liking of the later can be Even if the subsequent changes are not to your liking, you can go back to the previous layer and recreate it, rather than starting all over again. In addition to this, layers can also help us to distinguish parts more clearly, so that we will not accidentally affect the rest of the editing time, given that there are also different rendering effects and functions of the layer, which is also a very good, more simple and convenient way to shape the picture effect.

Tutorial & Practical :

Description:

When designing this collage, I cut off part of the model's cape on the right side, filled in the gaps with typed text, and used blue triangular pvc panels to represent the extended shadows underneath the model's feet as a way of adding a sense of layering and richness to the image.

Description:

When designing this collage, I chose the image of three people helping each other climb a mountain as the main subject of the collage, while at the same time I used blue geometric shapes to add layers to the image and to resonate with the subject itself. The lower part of the blue colour overlaps with the figure kneeling at the bottom, which also encompasses the idea of the figure sinking into the ‘blue sea’, while the half circle of blue at the top has the idea of the rising sun. The large title superimposed on the back of the subject enriches the image, and the shape of the cloud is also better integrated into the image.

Description:

When designing this collage, I chose only a very simple and single model as the main subject, and the rest of the elements are expanded around and centred on this subject, so that the overall picture is more coherent and simple. The subject itself is not very colourful, the blue is a nice touch, and underneath the subject I have used a small amount of text to enrich the image and give the characters a sense of hierarchy.

Reflections:

In this class I learnt to extract the individuals I needed from a large amount of information and to combine them to design a picture in a relatively simple, yet unobtrusive way. It also gave me practical practice in integrating elements, combining images and text that may be unrelated, and making the image complete and uncluttered. It was a fun activity, and after a few iterations I found my favourite layout, which resulted in a more consistent style in the final product I set up. All in all, I really enjoyed this practical assignment, and it gave me a lot of experience and practice, and I believe that this knowledge will give me a stable foundation for my future design.
